brewed dandelions by amy lafrankie

8/1/2017

late gold summer
we catch glitter in the heat filled sky
teeth sunk in pomegranates,
liquid pezzottaite coating my tongue.
tedious limbs,
we touch and raise foxes in the
underlying of our ribs
the language you speak now
is unfamiliar in my ears,
reminds me of your love for foreign films
the sun, like a daylily and
the air smells of dandelions
it all leaves a bitter taste
in the back of my throat.
