Our friends at Nurant Illustration Mag, a bimonthly and bilingual illustration magazine, are releasing Issue #22! A launch will take place at SpazioB in Turin, Italy on April 29, 2016. If you're situated in other parts of the world, you can access the issue here after the release date. Issue Description and Preview: Issue #22 is a collaboration between the Nurant editorial staff and Mai Visti e Altre Storie (Never Seen and Other Stories), a project for enhancement of outsider art (art produced by self-taught artists who are not part of the artistic establishment.) in the Piedmont area. This project was inspired by Tea Taramino and curated by Arteco (Annalisa Pellino and Beatrice Zanelli), in collaboration with Passages cultural association. Stay tuned on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. The partnership between Nurant and Mai Visti was established due to similar objectives and aesthetic research in terms of examining outsider art and scouting young artists. In this issue (previewed in the images below), artwork and illustrations by 20 young illustrators and outsider artists have been selected and included. The magazine intentionally does not distinguish the outsider art, as there are no obvious differences. The issue begins and ends with some extras by Annalisa Pellino (Arteco), Giusi Marchetta (authors of the short story In his own Image), Giulia Sagramola (horoscope's illustrator) and Claudio Malpede (Astronurant corner's illustrator). |
